75–100 g fine oat flakes
1 small pinch of salt
50 g whole or ground poppy seeds
200 g Sunsweet prunes
50 g walnuts
75–100 g dried cranberries
1 untreated lemon (grated rind and 2–3 tbsp. juice)
To coat:
30–50 g whole or ground poppy seeds (alternatively: finely ground nuts or grated chocolate)
Storage: keeps fresh in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator and up to 4 weeks in the freezer. Defrost frozen balls at room temperature for at least 3 hours before serving.
Transport: in airtight containers.
